Nepal’s Famous Tourist Attractions

Nepal is located in Asia. It has neighboring countries of Bhutan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Myanmar, and India. The country is known for its Himalayan mountains and religious villagers that would welcome anyone who wants to visit their peaceful country.

Kathmandu is a city where tourists can experience the cultural vibe of Nepal. It features various some of historical and worship places such as Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur, and Swayhambhunath and Boudhanath stupas. With these famous landmarks, anyone can feel the incomparable uniqueness of each one. All landmarks would bring awareness of the history of the country. With historical blends of Hindu and Buddhist culture, ancient temples and architecture can be expected to be seen.


But to start off the adventure, tourists can first make a tour at the buzzing streets of Thamel. This street features a wide range of shops and restaurants where tourists can explore. As this place is the center of an action-packed series of daily activities of the locals, anyone must expect inviting voices of the sellers and business owners to come to their place. Once the dilemma of choosing the place to have lunch (for example) is settled, tourists can explore further the other side of the street. It has souvenir shops and trekking companies offering their services and products.

Aside from hiking to the well-known Mt. Everest, there are some trekking points that tourists and/or hikers can explore. These are Annapurna Circuit and the Annapurna Base Camp Trail (ABC). As these trekking circuit would take hikers to pass through Annapurna mountain, hikers can have a feeling of adventure and experience the culture at the same time. As the trekking activity moves forward, one can expect to see local villages and tea houses that can give a little bit of experience of the daily lives of the locals of Nepal.

For those with extra budget and time, tourists can also try tandem paragliding activity. It features scenic views of Annapurna Himalayas range and majestic views of Pokhara and Lake. This 30-minute activity would leave anyone in awe as it can be a tourist’s once in a lifetime experience. It is best advised to book in advance with a reputable tour agency or company to avoid any inconvenience.
