Paella or Spanish rice dish is one of the popular meal in Spain. It most traditional version includes chicken or rabbit, saffron, runner beans, and butter beans. There are various versions of Paella that are available in the country which use different ingredients. But the common element of this dish is the inclusion of rice in every variety of it.

 

Tortilla Española

The ingredients of this Spanish omelette is simple yet leave its flavour in your taste buds. Usually, it only has eggs, potatoes, and onions but other people might add other ingredients depending on their preferences. Some may add ham, chorizo, spinach, or courgettes. Some may also add prawns, squid, mushrooms, or cheese.

Also known as a cold soup, this Spanish meal are always present during the summer season. It has the ripest and reddest tomatoes that perfectly blend with cucumber, green pepper, garlic, olive, and salt.

Another simple dish that is easy to make. Gambas ajillo only has shrimp as its main ingredient. What makes it a popular dish in Spain is when mixed with garlic, olive oil, and spicy chilli flakes, it brings aroma on your nose that would make you crave for more.

This dish is commonly seen in bars and restaurants as one of the tapas (appetizer). Its main ingredients are Spanish paprika, olive oil, flour, and of course — potatoes. There are people who may add other ingredients that would suit their taste.

Chorizo is a spicy pork sausage that has different types and can be seen all over Spain. It can be served in a thin slice or cut into chunks.
